Easy Fruit Sorbets

Don't have a Vitamix, but craving icecream or a low-fat frozen yogurt? Never fear, easy vegan frozen dessert is near! I have a regular-old Cuisinart blender and food processor, and this sorbet came out perfectly, and completely satisfies the "I scream for ice cream" desire. Plus, these are low fat, pretty low-cal desserts. And ridiculously easy to make!

Mango Sorbet
  • 1 large ripe mango, sliced
  • 1 Tbsp coconut oil (omit for non-fat; can sub with 1/2 of a small banana)
  • 1 Tbsp agave syrup
Raspberry or Strawberry Sorbet
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries or fresh sliced strawberries
  • 1 Tbsp agave syrup
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened vanilla almond or soy milk
Blend ingredients in a food processor until smooth and well mixed. Store in the freezer for about an hour, or until completely frozen, and scoop with an ice cream scooper to serve. (If freezing overnight, you may need to thaw for about 5-10min prior to serving).

Easy, delicious, and healthy!!

Now, back to dreaming about what new vegan dishes I want to make this weekend...
